Chasing a modest goal in 108 points, Himanshu Mantri top-scored with 37 points while Shubham Sharma played 30 points. Rajat Patidar contributed an unbeaten 30-run run, scoring game-winning runs to bring home MP.
MP CM Shivraj was delighted with the historic victory of the state cricket team. In a video he shared on Twitter, he congratulated the team and said the players would receive a big welcome in the capital, Bhopal.
“Today, the entire state of Madhya Pradesh is happy and moved as the state cricket team wrote history. After beating 41 time champion Mumbai, MP won the Ranji Trophy title. I congratulate coach Chandrakant Pandit, captain Aditya Shrivastava and the whole team, as it is a victory for the whole unit,” the prime minister told ANI news agency.
“Not only best wishes, but the entire team will be warmly welcomed in the capital city of Bhopal and their achievements will be recognised,” he added.

CM Shivraj also shared a video of MP’s winning moment on the last day of the Ranji Trophy Final.
On the final day, Mumbai managed just 269 in their second innings, leaving the MP with a paltry 108, and they did it in style as Pandit captured the national title of the century, a record sixth as manager.
Sarfaraz Khan (45), who finished the season with 18 runs before 1000 runs and youngster Suved Parkar (51) gave his best but needing to attack every opportunity, MP’s Kumar Kartikeya (4/98 ) and other bowlers knew that the wickets would come to them.

Mumbai started the final day with a score of 113/2, with Armaan Jaffer 30*(34) and Suved Parkar 9*(14). The duo continued to stay strong for 56 runs, which ended in Jaffer being dismissed by pacemaker Gaurav Yadav with a score of 37.
Parkar is joined by Sarfaraz Khan in human form. The duo went on to run 53 more times before Parkar was knocked out by cameraman Kumar Kartikeya 51 times. Yashasvi Jaiswal was cheap with only £1 for Kartikeya.
So, Khan and Shams Mulani fixed the running position 34 times after this small crash. Mulani was sacked aged 17 after being bowled out by Saransh Jain, ending the duo’s stamina at MP bowling. Sarfaraz Khan fell at the age of 45, fired by cameraman Parth Sahani with the help of the safe hands of Anubhav Agarwal. At present, Mumbai is 236/7.

Kumar Kartkeya with his 4/98 was the starter for MP with the ball. Gaurav Yadav and Parth Sahani each caught two butterflies.
Chasing 108, Madhya Pradesh got off to a bad start by losing premier Yash Dubey by just 1 point after veteran Mumbai driver Dhawal Kulkarni knocked his stump.
Then, Shubham S Sharma and opener/forward Himanshu Mantri added 52 runs for the second racket. The grandstand ended after Flyer Mulani defeated Mantri with a score of 37.

Previously he had struck the ball first, Mumbai leading 374/10. Sarfaraz Khan (134), Yashasvi Jaiswal (78) and Prithvi Shaw (47) played prominent roles for Mumbai. Pacer Gaurav Yadav was the star of the MP with the ball, taking 4/106 while his quick partner Anubhav Agarwal took 3/81.

In the second half of the match, Madhya Pradesh completely dominated with the racket, scoring 536/10 on the board and leading 162 rounds. Yash Dubey (133), Shubham Sharma (116) and Rajat Patidar (122) were MP’s key stars throughout their centuries.
After Mumbai’s 269/10 in the third innings, the MPs are aiming for 108 to claim their maiden title.
