Jiminy Cricket is a character that appears in many Kingdom Hearts games. This is from the original movie Pinocchio.

Jimin’s blue fairy instructed Pinocchio’s conscience because he was too young to know the difference between right and wrong. Unfortunately, the Heartless destroyed their world, Prankster’s Paradise, causing them to be separated.

As Donald and Goofy prepare to leave Disney Castle to find the “key” at the behest of King Mickey, Queen Minnie is tasked with joining them on their journey as their royal chronicler. He explains to Goofy that he escaped before his world was destroyed and his friends scattered. After befriending Sora, they travel to many different worlds in search of the King, Riku, and Kairi, although Jimin usually carries Sora invisibly in the hood of his coat.

At one point[?], Jimin meets Pinocchio in Traverse Town and tells him to stay while he goes to find his father Geppetto.

As they pass through Agrabah, the Gummi ship is swallowed by a giant whale monster and the team is reunited with Pinocchio, who is then reunited with his father Geppetto. However, Pinocchio was lied to by Riku’s friends and they searched for him until the parasite Cage Heartless captured Pinocchio and tried to capture his heart. He failed, but then Riku caught him and stole his heart, hoping he could change Kairi’s heart. Jimin, Sora, Donald and Goofy manage to restore Pinocchio’s heart with the combined power of their hearts. They then fight Parasite Cage again and defeat him once and for all, but then Monstro feels bad and spits them out, and Jiminy pulls Pinocchio away. He discovers that Pinocchio and Geppetto are fine after they visit Traverse Town again and live there.

Upon entering Castle Oblivion, Sora and company find that their memories are being erased at each level of Castle Oblivion, and Jimin’s entries in his journal are completely gone.

When Sora gets mad at Donald and Goofy for not wanting to help save Namine, he sets out to find her alone. Jimin tries to reason with him, but he refuses to listen. When they finally meet Namine, they learn that Sora never knew Namine, but was quite taken aback by her abilities to control Sora’s memories and what is connected to her heart.

After defeating Larxen, Vexen, and Marluxia, members of Organization XIII, Namine takes them to the brood chamber, where she tells them that she can restore their memories while they sleep in them. However, as a price, they will lose their memories of everything that happened while in Castle Oblivion. Afraid that they won’t be able to thank him for what he does for them, Jimin writes a small note in his diary that says “Thank you Namine”.

Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Jimin wake up from a year-long slumber in Twilight Town with no memory of what happened after they closed the door to the Royal Hearts. Goofy asks Jimin what his diary says, and Jimin only finds the sentence, “Thank you Namine.” Unable to figure out who he is, Donald mocks him for his wrong journal entry and Jimin dismisses him and tells him to go find out where they are.

In the Secret Tower, when Sora, Donald, and Goofy find the first piece of the puzzle, Jimin jumps down to examine it before entering it into his journal.

Returning to Disney Castle, Jimin discovers a mysterious sentence that says, “We must go back to put them out of their misery,” while reorganizing his journal. Jimin can’t remember about this entrance, so he shows the text to King Mickey. To investigate, King Mickey creates Sora from the data to try to learn more about the mysterious records that keep popping up. As Data-Sora continues to reveal the Bug Blox’s corruption affecting the Datascape, Jimin somehow gets dragged into the Data World, along with King Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pete. He and his friends are brought back to the real world after the magazine run is over.

Review: Jiminy Cricket! A Live Action ‘Pinocchio’

Because Jiminy Cricket managed to escape to Prankster’s Heaven before becoming one of the sleeper worlds, Jiminy’s simulacrum takes place in the “dream” world that still appears as Pinocchio’s consciousness.

Arriving at Prankster’s Heaven, Sora meets Jimin, and despite Sora’s best efforts, Jimin doesn’t remember him. Jimin tells Sora that Pinocchio told him when he was locked in the cage that the man in the black robe was supposed to play a prank on Sora. Then the two friends began to search for the missing Pinocchio. After Jestabock is tricked into an amusement park by two dream eaters disguised as Pinocchio, they eventually find him at the circus, partially transformed into a donkey due to his misbehavior. Sora rescues the doll from the Dream Eaters, then orders her and Jimin to leave. They are then informed by the Blue Fairy that Geppetto has been swallowed by a monster and jump off a cliff into the ocean to rescue him. Sora follows them to the bottom of the ocean after the Blue Fairy informs them of their actions and watches as they are attacked and swallowed by whales. After Sora defeats the Chill Clawbster, he thinks that the world must have been destroyed by the Heedless after that moment, causing Jimin and Pinocchio to be separated from Geppetto.

Pinocchio talks to Riku about how Jimin was there for him to help him see right from wrong.

When Riku meets Geppetto and Jimin in the monster’s mouth, he tries to find Pinocchio, who is gone by someone in a black cloak. Jimin accompanies Riku as he searches for the doll and they eventually find him and the figure in black. The figure urges Pinocchio to return to Jimin and Riku, removing his hat to reveal that he is Riku’s doppelganger before disappearing into a dark hallway. Riku tells Jimin and Pinocchio about his dark past, Jimin and
