Two more frames were exchanged as Robertson’s 54 was matched by Allen’s 60, before the ‘Thunder from Down Under’ scored a 71 to once again open up a three-frame lead at the interval.
Robertson picked up where he left off with a 60 and a 40 over to put him just two frames away from victory.
Allen enjoyed a recent return to form after winning the European Tour Bulgarian Open last weekend, but he is in desperate need of a response.

He converted one on an error from his opponent to make it 8-4 at the pin, before a strong run of 112 again closed the gap to three frames.
The 52-minute 14th frame was crucial, as a defensive error by the world No.11 allowed Robertson to clear the blue-black to move one away from the title.
