The 100 Cricket – England’s new eight-team city competition, The Hundred, kicks off on October 3, with various competition details confirmed.

While many are already known, including some of the players, coaches and the new 100-ball format in which the matches will be played, the names of the teams have yet to be announced.

Each team has been allocated one contracted England red ball player, who can only be present for part of the tournament, and two local iconic players, while the remaining teams will be selected in the draft on 20 October.
